When I plug my trendet DVI KVM USB2 switch in the USB pipes on the computer go alitte crazy the stutttering effect on mice is fcking annoying.

I dunno if its a driver issue or the switch box, it was working fine so it might be the drivers but this box gets data/energy from the DVI cables I adapt the DVI to VGA on the computer.

I jsut wodnered if anyone had iedas to the issues it may be.

The computer is a acer 360 BTW.

Ya tried that, tried unplugging stuff, it seems the USB modem exacerbates it so I decided to reinstall the drivers that didn't really work I did a recovery from a day or 2 ago and that did the trick tho its locked up only once since then..

really having a bad time with the modems today....I am at uncles and dial up is the only option...

Anyway I think I got it working but damn its been an annoying day...I guess I killed some of the drivers when I hard crashed the PC 2 or 3 times this afternoon....infinite cascading effect in UT 04 via bad code job on my part is probably what did it LOL

But its working now.

Its doign ti again I can't quite run the problem down its either a power issue if to many HDDs can cause a issue it is a 300 watt PSU after all, 4 HDDs in all.

But it could be kaspersky as menus are acting funny and kaspersky itself when I bring up the kaspersky menu it goes nuts.

Running a usb modem exacerbates the stuttering.

Yes I have tried unpluging it and the USB hub, unpluged the hub which has the printer, scanner and external DVD writer that's tuned off on it and it still has issues.

Its very strange, when I unplug the extra drives(they are my drives I brought over to sort while I am here) it seems to start up this issue, perhaps there is to much on the USB and PSU?

Yes I ahve unpluged it and left it pluged in it seems the HDDs pluged intot eh system start whatever it is, through it could be windose is buggy but hell I have not seen anythign like this befor.

Could it be the combination of low PSU and video chipset(more CPU power needed=more power needed) is creating a odd issue in the USB pipes?

I am grasping at straws here I know but odd bug is odd.

Next time I'll bring over a better PSU and see if that's the issue.

I should be going back home tomorrow...oohhhh DSL how I miss you.... I am almost ready to buy version broadband to use 5 times a year ><

ITs an a360,PSU is FPS group 300watt, X2 4200, 6100 Ninvida chipset, 3GB of ramm no cards. Normal it has 2 HDDs and 2 DVD drives, I got it on 4 HDDs and 1 DVD drive currently.

The modem is ZOOM USB, there is a USB HDD and DVD writer unpluged off the USB hub.

The KVM is a trendnet DVI USB2.0 switch box.

Without the extra HDDs it runs with mild to no shuttering with the HDDs and the modem on the shuttering becomes annoying.

Both work on power adapters.

The USB modem dose not, in fact curerntly I have 3 HDDs 1 DVD drice in the system 1 HDD is through a USB adapter thats powered via adapter, 2 HDDs powred via adapters, 1 thumb drive 1 USB wireless mice and the only time it sutters were you can;t move the mouse is when I transfer crap betwen drives.

I might be over powering it just a tad :P

I have reinstalled the drivers and did a restore so its not a driver issues so its either the USB chip is bad or a power issue since its not the hub or KVM doing it.

I have a 500watt at the house it should provide more power its generic so I'd grade it at 400watt for convenience sake .
