HELP on Recording from Sky+ HDD to Eltax DVD Recorder

Hi Guys, Im having nightmares trying to get this to work. I am trying to record my films and proggys from my Sky+ box hard drive to a dvd in my Eltax DVR-555HD DVD Player/Recorder.

Now.. I have all three manuals out (Eltax DVR-555HD Player, Sky+, Samsung Plasma TV)

I have connected up all the connections as explained in all three manuals but all I seem to be getting is what I had before.. My Sky+ on my TV.

Now to record on my Eltax DVD player I need to be able to see the Eltax screen obviously but I also need to be able to see the Sky+ screen at the same time. So I need to get my Sky plus and Eltax running together on the one screen. We did this once before on my freeview box but that friend is no longer around to help me out so I wondered if anyone else on here has managed to achieve this? if so please share lol cos my sky+ Hard drive is getting full.
