I have tricky question for you, i downloaded a ps2 game off newsbin and extracted it and it came out to be one big ARC. file whatever that is, iam stumped after extraction, i;ve never had any game before extract into an ARC. file not to mention its not an iso file or image so the dvd burner or decrypter doesn?t recognize it, i?ve tried so long to try to fix this with no luck, if anybody can help me it would be a blessing.

peazip will extract ARC file types: http://peazip.sourceforge.net/faq-compression-utility.html#FAQ
also winzip 11.1 and earlier will unzip ARC files...nice to see sly around..think he was one of the first people i saw on afterdawn..he's helpful man..can't check the link he left for you(at work right now) but more than likely it was helpful..
Update: also PowerIso will extract ARC files..would prolly go with poweriso as it's a more universal tool
lmao..ok just checked that tinyurl from sly..he was just showing you how to do it..pretty much what i did to help you out..opening an arc file should show you the image(ISO or similar format) in that arc file..arc file types is just a older form of compression..it's been obsolete for awhile, but still around
