Antenna Placement for OTA HD? Metal Roof?

Hi, I'm in a fringe reception area and want to maximize my chances of getting OTA stations.

I have tried several indoor antennas including a homemade one that is very good.

I have a two story and thought about putting the antenna in the attic but I have a tin shingle roof!

Will this metal roof inhibit my reception?
