Hello,

I recently bought an eeepc 1000h, which has a VGA output connection.
I have a philips plasma tv, with HDMI connections.

My attempt was as followed :

The VGA output is connected to a cable VGA / DVI-A male.
The Cable is adpated as followed : DVI female / HDMI
HDMI plugged in TV

Added to this, I also connected an audio cable from the EEEPC jack output to an RCA input ( red/white ) of the TV.

TV is the philips 50PF7521D/10.

Still, it is not working. I assume my mistake was DVI-A to HDMI, but I would like to have advices from you guys...

Could you help me ?

Thanks - LeFrog

I would assume the eeepc's VGA is strictly analog. it won't mate to HDMI (digital) with out some sort of conversion box.

this would not happen if you have a LED TV. LED TV is a term used by Samsung to describe its line of LCD (liquid crystal display) TVsthat use LED backlighting.
LED-backlit LCD TVs do differ from conventional LCD TVs in some important areas:
1- They can produce a very bright image and deep blacks (doesn't work for Edge-LED
2- With Edge-LED lighting they can be extremely slim.
3- They can offer lower power consumption.
4- They can offer a wider colour gamut, especially when RGB-LED backlighting is used.

If your TV has composite input, you may be able to use a VGA to composite adapter. I believe they run about $25 on the internet.
