I am trying to burn to a RiData +R dual layer disc with imgburn. It keeps burning coasters and telling me "Reason: invalid address for write". Do I have it set wrong? Is it possible that the discs are junk? I have never used dual layer discs before so I am wondering what the possible problems are. It seems to always to it at the layer break???

The only reliable DL media is Verbatim DVD+R DL 2.4x (MKM-001-00 dye) made in Singapore burned at 2.4x.

99% of all problems are between the computer and the chair.

If the DVD+R DL discs you are using are 8X, they are most likely manufactured with what is called an "inverse stack" method that eliminates a temporary plastic stamper used for one layer and is thrown out after use. The latest DL drives may be designed for the use of IS DL discs, but the early DL drives certainly are not. That may be the reason your drive is having a problem at the layer break.

Verbatim DVD+R DL media ARE (The word is always plural.) the most compatible media and are very reliable. They are not the only reliable DL media. I have tested Ritek and CMC DL production with different drives, and on certain drive/disc combinations the results are as good as what one finds with Verbatim discs from Singapore. The Singapore factory will have to switch to IS production sooner or later in order to keep costs in line with the competition. Verbatim already sources DL products from MBI in Delhi, India for reasons of cost. That means that sooner or later DL drives accustomed to good results with Verbatim 2P DL 2.4X discs will see the same problems you are seeing when Verbatim IS DL 8X discs are used. Some people will then claim Verbatim quality has failed. The cognoscenti will simply buy a new DL drive and resume recording with good results.

"MKM-001-00" is the MID code on the Verbatim DVD+R DL 2.4X discs. That code identifies the stamper that was used to produce the discs, not the dye, although the dye is tuned to the geometry of that particular stamper.
