R4DS Select Button & GBA Games

Can anyone help. I have an R4 with a 4 GB SD Card. It works great I Love it. But I am having a few problems with.

1) When at the R4 menu and I press select nothing happens. I can change the theme but replacing the images but can seem to scroll through them.

2)When I load a movie on to it the movie plays fine but the sound is very low (yes I turned the volume up).

3) when at the R4 Menu when i try to play the GBA game it freezes on a white screen. The only way I can play one is to turn the system off and take the R4 out and turn it back on without the R4.
