DS Lite Freezing

I have 3 ds lites in the house, all about 14 months old. Also have edge cards with 4GB micro. Two freeze up while playing, both with edge card or normal ds game cartridge, have taken battery out of one and refitted with no effect. Contacts in game slot are clean, any ideas?
