I am having a problem with HDL Dump GUI if you couldn't already tell by the subject. I have tried both v14 and v15 and got the same problem in both versions. I run it on Windows XP Professional 32-bit.
The Setup: I run uLaunch v4.38 from my memory card. From there I launch the hdld_svr 0.8.5 elf also from the memory card. I configure the ipconfig.dat file in uLaunch and that works fine. I have my PS2 go through an Actiontec router, I have Verizon FIOS. I also run Norton Firewall and have the PS2's Mac address and IP in trust control. I also have HDL Dump GUI in Program control to allow it full internet access. Now on to my problem.
When I run the hdld_svr elf it runs and then it says ready. I load up my router to see my network and the PS2 shows up, I use IP 192.168.1.15 for it and sure enough it is there. I then start HDL Dump GUI, enter my PS2's IP and click Refresh PS2 and my PS2's HD Space information loads up and everything looks to be working fine. I then browse for and select an ISO to install. I have tried several different ISO's and it doesn't matter, I get the same result.
The Problem: When I select a game ISO I click install and the install progress bar shows up only it stays at 0% and after about 15-20 seconds it goes away and HDL Dump says job completed. I then refresh my network connections from my router and the PS2 is gone from the list. I then click Refresh PS2 in HDL Dump and it says there is no connection, even though I am looking at my PS2 still on and in hdld_svr saying that it's 'Ready'.
I have traversed many a google searches and many different sites including this one to no avail. I managed to figure out how to get the memory card exploit and all the emulators working on my own but this is weird. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I hate having to take out the hard drive and directly connect it to my PC, but if it comes down to it I guess I can deal with it. Thanks again.
P.S. I have been a long time forum reader. From copying DVDs to PS1 games to now PS2 exploits. Good stuff, keep it up.
Edit: After running hdld_svr and before hitting Refresh PS2 in HDL Dump GUI, I can see the PS2 on my router. I tested if not running HDL Dump GUI that my router would continue to see the PS2 indefinitely. Not the case. Shortly after, literally a minute or two, it disappears. But when it is there I can successfully ping it. And no matter how fast I run HDL Dump GUI after hdld_svr, it never installs ISO's past 0%. I am befuddled. With these developments I guess it's not so much of a PS2 exploit/homebrew question as it's a network connection question.
