My friends gave me his dbox back to put a new image on the box and i cant do it.The lcd screen is broken in front of the box but i cant read some letters and it looks something like this:B RA S C and then some long German word underneath it.I dont know what this means but i cant get into the box.Nothing comes up on the tv like menus etc and when i use ifa it wont flash a image onto the boxes.It comes up with some message.Also when i use ifa it doesn't ping with the box.If someone understands this can you please help.It's doing my head in.

IFA is your onliest chance.
Use the lates version from here:

Btw you need a crossover network cable for a direct connection to the box.

I have tried this but it comes up with some sort of message.Something like command loop thing.I done it last week so am not 2 sure.

Network misconfigured. You should give the network card a fixed IP.
If you are ready with flashing you can set it back to the previous settings.
