I just made a back-up from my GH3 which I got yesterday. It works fine, load times are good and such, but it makes weird sound in the background. It only starts it about 15 seconds after starting the song, and continues to the end of the song. It's very annoying. I tried all songs I have, and it always makes that sound. I use FMCB 1.8 with ESR and game was burned to Verbatim 16x Printable with 4x speed. Rip was done with ImgBurn and then patched with ESR Patcher 0.24. That was my last DVD-R, and before buying more, I want to know is this burn problem or what?

Edit: now that the problem is solved (see post #3), I have another thing to ask. Does using DVD-RWs make PS2 laser die faster? I have read something about it, but I'd like to be sure. No fun to destroy my 1-year old laser.

Try cleaning your laser first.
See if that makes any difference.

I'll try that. Now that I think it could be problem with the "fail" sound. When PS2 tries to load it, it doesn't work and loops the first part of that sound very fast. I'll also burn it again if cleaning laser doesn't work (to some unknown brand DVD-R I found).

EDIT: It seems that it was burning problem. My brother burned TDK DVD-RW with GH3 and it seems to work. No problems with sound anymore.
