Anyone know of any differences between these two drives other than one is SATA and one is IDE? Which would you recommend over the other one? Do both of them allow permanent booktype/bitsetting features or do you have to do it each time with a DVD+R to DVD-ROM?
I need to order one and am not sure which one to get. I would think the SATA, but I'd rather check first to see if anyone has any experience or opinions of either one or both.
Thanks so much!

As you may know, SATA and IDE use a different data cable and a power cable. If you replacing a IDE, get IDE, unless you are sure that you have a SATA connection open on your motherboard and you have a SATA power cable ready.

I think your burning program can take care of your booktype setting.

Yes, I'm aware of that :) I was asking more feature-wise/performance-wise. I have used both IDE and SATA optical drives. I was just wondering about these two drives in particular... or even if anyone has any opinions of SATA being better than IDE other than airflow in case due to thinner cable.
thanks!
