I assume that it was the XviD codec that was missing?
What happens after installing the codec and running Nero.

Are you saying that all of your files use the XviD codec, yet GSpot reports that the codec is not installed for some of them?
VCD file have to be less than eighty minutes - that's all that fits on a CD.

see, it's like this:
1. gspot reports that ALL my files do not have the codecs installed.
2. somehow, i'm now able to write avi files on to the vcd. i THINK this is because of the xvid codec.
3. there are still some avi files that don't write on to the vcd. the 'unsupported file format' dialogue box comes up again.
i SUSPECT that those files that don't write on to the vcd need a different codec, but i could be completely wrong, of course.
what think you?
