I have a trojan on my computer that is driving me crazy. I'm usually pretty good with getting rid of them but this one is a b****. My computer is running real slow when accessing websites & I run a system restore. AVG found some trojan called Sheur2.siq & .tfh & then in safe mode it said it cleared something called UAcooqeeiel.dll in the system root folder but I'm still having problems. When I tried to run a trojan remover I had on my computer it doesn't work. I tried to re-install it since I still had the exe file but it won't let me do that either. Also I keep getting a viewmgr error when my pc boots up & I read that has something to do with AOL. My AOL is acting up too. I need help. I'm using windows XP.

AVG is not a very good AV software...if it found one thing, you probably have a lot of other virues/trojans running.

Click START KEY + R
Type "SFC.EXE /SCANNOW"

...It will probably find a bunch of virus-modified windows files.

Then get yourself a trial version of ESET security center or MalwareBytes (ESET is a great resident scanner, MalwareBytes is an on-demand-only scanner that sometimes picks up stuff ESET misses) Between these two, you should be able to find (and even remove) several virues.

What's a good AV program that doesn't cost 2 much because I was thinking of trying something else besides AVG? I was able to get a program called trojan remover (that someone suggested) & MalwareBytes to get rid of the trojans...I think. lol (crossing my fingers) Thanks KillerBug. :-)
