I'm on my 4Th DVD recorder:Cyberhome,(FBI closed),legal issue with Philips?Two SV2000s,burned out,while "protected"?,by Audiovox(Acoustic Research AR10S)Surge protector!One SV2000 was plugged in only,other was ON.Storm hit Konocked out the 2 SV2000s.Out of warranty,Audiovox,did not honor their warranty.Sent me a Newer,high end Surge protector.I guess I got my $$$$ worth,cause I burned many a DVD on those SV2000s.Walmart didn't have any more.They were cheap too.$87 and $67 respectively.Then I got A Panasonic DMREZ37V,that I had to send to factory service,after opening the box!Trouble EVER since,Upgrades on firmware and numerous resets,DVD blank media trials,etc. Like other threads here Panasonic Support,is wayyyy out of touch.Now I gotta send it back in!Luckily I'm still under warranty.I bet I spent more time on Gas and Driving to try different DVDs,etc. per Panasonic,then the cost of this so called "quality" brand.I've Had it! Lets go back to VHS!
