i have been using dvd lab pro for the last couple of years always found it easy to use, since i upgraded to dvd lab pro 2, i found it doesnt work so well for me, things that worked so simply in the 1st version are not so easy in version 2, things like
3 movies on 1 disc, version 2 wont compile a dvd if the .vob file is over 1gb, which most of my stuff normally is.
i film dancing competions and things on my camera and dvd lab pro was so easy to use.
i cant even downgrade to version im so used to coz it keeps telling me the trial period has expired even if i remove it completley and re install it!
is there another program out there which is similar or as easy to use as dvd lab?
I can?t advice about authoring programs. Though, you might want to try CCleaner to clean up registry remains after uninstalling. Then try reinstalling old version.
TMPGEncDVDAuthoring, or the newer TMPGEnc Authoring Works 4, is quite easy. Cheap and easy to find. Menus not the greatest, software has limitations creative-wise.
Better quality menus come from Ulead DVD Workshop 2. It may be discontinued directly from Ulead, but it can still be found. It's excellent pro-quality software, easy as TDA, but menus look at least as good as DVDLab.
Dombo I am not sure what are you doing wrong, but VOB cannot be larger that 1GB. That is the rule.
If you have more than one movie, they all have to have the same parameters, otherwise each of them has to be in separate VTS.
Size of the movie has nothing to do with size of VOB.
After compile, for longer (larger file), you will have more VOB's for that movie, that is all.
