Hi, i've got a movie, it's a blu-ray rip in japanese, when i downloaded the correct srt english subtitle file and played it with the movie all the characters are strange, example:

ÒòΪսÕù¶ø¸ºÉ˵ĴóÅúÈËÀà×÷ΪÉú»¯»úеÈ˶ø¸´»î

I've had this before with another movie but the characters where all zeros or squares, is this because i havin't got all the correct langauges installed on my computer, it's proving hard to find any subs to match the movie, thanks

There is no way we can know what's wrong.
You haven't given us any real information.
Let's start with the programs you're using.

99% of all problems are between the computer and the chair.

First open the SRT with notepad and see what it looks like, if it is indeed in English.

I don't know about Subedit, never used it, but SrtJoin can join your two srt parts and also Subtitle Workshop.
