I'm not 100% sure this is the right place for this thread, but here goes. When I play my Megadeth DVDs the rhythm guitar can be clearly heard, but the lead guitar is so quiet you can barely tell it's there. I know it's the DVD player because it's fine when I play them with my Playstation 2.

This is probably the best place for your question.

There are many processes and hardware that could cause a problem. You first job is to figure out if it is hardware or 'software'.

I am going to guess you have a 'bad pressing'.

It could be a read problem. Your DVD may be marginal. PS2 usually has a much better reader than a player. Even expensive players use inferior disk readers because they can and no one will know. Check to make sure it plays fine on your computer. That will have the best reader.

Computer burners are better than the PS2 readers. A a good copy of a DVD will read better than a marginal original.

I would rip to av files, use FixVts then use shrink to create a new disk. Check the shrink forum. You might need to use Ripit4me if you can't make a good copy. If this is Greek to you check out the Shrink Forum. If you post a question there, describe your disk as a 'bad pressing'.
