Hi Everyone

I have an issue with my firewall. When enabled the Avg firewall blocks me from the internet. It says unidentified network. But when disabled I can access the internet just fine. This happens for LAN and wireless. My OS is Vista 32 Bit. This happened on all networks I tried.

Please Help me

Cheers Hasamoder

Don't know about you, but common sense would tell me that my network was not configured properly in the firewall setup and therefore the firewall is blocking my network.

The first place I would go to if I had an issue with a specific software, is that software's website...

That's just me though...

I already contacted them and they never replied back so that's why I'm asking here.

you may need to manage your exceptions to your firewall. this will allow shareware programs to work like shareaza, bittorrent etc. I usually spend the first 2 days training my firewall and in my case it is the windows xp firewall exceptions which blocks my internet which gives a prompt to allow or disallow whenever i connect a program. you can access this from xp control panel, windows firewall icon, exceptions tab and tick the bloxes of the programs you allow.
Avg has a list of exceptions also click the cube in taskbar and in the menu at the top select components, then resident shield, then manage exceptions or tools advanced settings resident shield exceptions. It works having twin firewalls but if you have any other antivirus programs installed like mcafee, norton, bullguard, panda, etc you will have to uninstall them from your control panel add remove programs or else you will get a conflict which will seriously slow your computer and booting performance. hope this helps, if it dosn't try uninstalling and reinstalling antivirus, if that dosn't work then consider another antivirus program
