AVG is very good. I got rid of the Norton Hog on my laptop and use AVG instead.

Thanks ill try this next, my mcafee is up for renewal shortly,is the free version of avg ok.

Yes, the free avg is good to use. You can use it in conjunction with a free firewall program, such as zone alarm or comodo.
