Ok so here's the deal. Upgraded to windows vista U. form xp home but now for some odd reason my sound or audio is not working. I have a pair of Logitech z10 speakers that were working fine with xp but now I get a x mark on my speaker ICON on my bar. with a message that reads " no audio output device installed " I've tried everything from updateding my logitech drivers from logi but nothing so I figured last to update my MB. went to intel and there's drivers for my board but the highest it got was xp pro 64bit. nothing with Vista? so... any help welcome. thanks

I too saw that ddp, but i was overlooking it because like I wrote earlier, my logitech z-10's (these connect via usb) where working fine with XP home i got this problem only when I upgraded to vista. if all else dosn't work then I'll just go out and get soundcard, but then, are there any pci soundcards with a usb conection ? Thank you for your help ddp

The pinnicle card is a D. tv card... until know I didn't think anything of it. lol. maybe thats causing my audio sound not to work?.
my USB speakers were conected straight to the usb input on the motherboard. So, I'll try to remove the card and see what happens. thanks ddp.

I'm having the same problem because I cannot find Vista-compatible drivers for the on-board audio chip of the Intel D875PBZ.

according to this link http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Product_...ID=951&lang=eng your board only goes as high as xp pro 64bit. try running that driver in compatibility mode if available.
