Unable to import video from my camcorder

Please could somebody help me. I am using Nero 9 with windows XP. I have two panasonic camcorders, one an older tape digitial video camera model number NV-DS60B and the other a newer hard drive camcorder model number SDR-H20EB. However the program will not recognise either of them and I am unable to import video from the cameras straight into the program. I have no idea what to do to correct this. Any help gratefully received. Thanks
