Hy guys,I've registered on this forum because it's the best and because I need your help.I usually rip off my dvds with Auto Guardian Knot,with no problem and without complicating my live :D....but now,I have a little problem:I recently bought FF Advent Children,and since i want to get myself a divx,compressed copy,i thought of ripping it.The problem is that there are some small black areas of the dvd that i didn't noticed:
now,I ask you kind fellows,if you can indicate me some working software to rip/crop this image and eliminate the black empty spaces.I already tried some soft but without results(usualy it crashed and get me errors T-T).
I haven't checked my copy of AC (shit movie, anyway... but I digress), but is it really full 16:9? No "theatrical" 1.85:1 or, god forbid, 2.5:1 aspect ratio?

And is that border only on the right side? If it is, you can get rid of it pretty easily using VDub(Mod) or maybe AviDemux. If it shifts from right side to left, then you can probably get rid of it by cropping both sides a little bit. That's strange, though; I've never noticed that on my copy of AC.
...still a shit movie, though... bah. Sorry, I'm just really negative, aren't I?
