I am looking to buy a new camcorder and ofcourse I would like the best quality possible for as little as possible. I don't have a specific brand or type that I would like just looking into specs.

I do wonder, if one camera has 1 CCD 2180000 pixels would that be better than 3 CCD 1330000 pixels or do you count the 1330000 pixels 3 times?

How come some camera's seem to have really good specs, 3CCD and what not but can only shoot 640X480 pictures?

If the shuttertime of the videorecording is 1/2 - 1/4000, can I safely assume it will shoot good enough video like during a school preformance of the kids (low light etc)

Final question, if the best mode on the camera produces 720X480 8.5Mbps recordings is that ok?

I hope somebody can answer these quesntions for me, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
