ok I have an hp notebook that has media center and I recorded the sopranos when i burned it using xp media center through data format it only played in microsoft application not the regular dvd player i want to know how do you convert it so you can play it on a regular dvd player not just microsoft applications im sorry if i seem like i have an attitude im just fed up.

im probably going to have to put it into mpeg format right or did i hear wrong and i have a dvd burner how do you convert it to mpeg if this is so

WMC most likely recorded your show to a proprietary windows format that won't be playable in anything but WMC. You got to love M$ :)

It will need to be converted although I'm not familiar with how and if it can be converted from WMV format.
