I have a couple PC's that were originally Windows based, with Intel core duo processors. Is there any way, or any reason I couldn't, format their drives and install Mac OS X ? I can run Windows on my iMac if desired, I know, but would like to know if the opposite would be a feasible idea. I REALLY want to get away from Windows completely, and this seems like a good use for those PC's.

Basically.. no.. it's a nightmare of unsupported hardware. Very similar to running solaris on anything but sun hardware.

If you want to get away from doze pick a unix.. freebsd is working.. or impress yourself with sabayon4

Well like the above post it is a nightmare but it is possible OSx86 is where you want to start at to attempt it but be warned it may not work on your computer and is very time consuming to do. Instead I think that you should use linux or BSD as it can be made to look like it and it shares many similarities(OSX is based on BSD).

it is worth having a go at. Once you get it sorted it works just like a real mac. Don't be scared off by the linux mob.

Well I don't really like Linux or BSD that much either but it is much easier to get running than a modded OS X. If you can put up with it then go ahead all I'm just saying it can be time consuming.
