External Drive not reading or showing up at Disk Management

Hi people
Currently I'm having trouble with my Segate 160Gb hard drive. It is in an external shell and it worked perfectly before.

For some reason, when i use it now, the light of the external hard drive case flashes and the taskbar shows it installing the drive but it takes forever...

It doesnt show up in the disk management as well... Am i suppose to do something?

try it on another pc because if does same thing then either the enclosure or the hd inside of it is going bye bye. right now i think it is the hd is going so if not under warranty try it outside of enclosure or in another 1.

I had a similar problem; for me it was the USB port that went bad.
