Anyone get TVGOS with Panny dmr-e85hs and DTV PAL+ converter box

I have tried setting up my updated firmware Panasonic dmr-e85hs with a new DTV PAL Plus converter box, but I still can't get any channel listings after 24 hours. The Panasonic guide says it can't find any data. I followed the instructions precisely in the PAL Plus manual for setting it up to an analog device using the IR Blaster. I used the LN3 inputs to hook up the converter to the Panny. I've held down the power button on the Panny to clear out ads on the hard drive and held down both channel buttons to reset the channel guide. I changed the zip code on the dmr-e85hs to 00001 as told. It seems that the Panny is trying to communicate with the PAL Plus, but after waiting overnight, no listings get downloaded. The clock doesn't even set to the proper time. (I figured it should do that much) Should I try using the coax connector instead of LN3? Should it make a difference?

The DTV Pal Plus works great on it's own and downloads it's programming guide in minutes. All the years I've had that Panasonic, I've never got it download any channel listings at all from either a cable box or any PBS station. Maybe my recorder is damaged in that respect. It works perfectly otherwise the few times I've used it.

Has anyone tried using those two devices together and had any success with getting channel listings on any Panasonic HDD/DVD recorder? I thought I had a shot of getting some use out of the Panny. Anyone have any further tips?
