How can I repaire the deffect MPEG-2 file?

I bought on-line some DVD with video concert of my favorite band. Unfortunately, this disk was not original, but burned, and not burned in good way. One of it's VOB-files is deffect, I saw it at first when I noticed, that the disk respones rong on track skipping. I mooved this VOB file to hard disk, and tried to look what was that. It lookes like there is some problem with video stream. When I playback the file, none of the players I've tried did not show the minute counter mooving -- it hangs on 00:00, although the moovie is running. I separated video and audio streams (which is PCM on this DVD disk), the audio is OK, but still have a problem with video stream. The minute counter runs, but when I try to moove forward (for example, to 5th minute of the file), the counter shows me strange numbers. Windows Media Player shows me Total Time:39807:42:54 (the real lenghth of the fragment is 22:47). And I can't rebuilt the disk with none of DVD burning software. I scanned it with VirtualDub and it finds no problem. I tried to reencode it, but TMPGEncoder refuse to work with the file; Canopus Procoder works, but stops on 14th minute of the fragment. How can I repaire the file?
