I have been having some problem burning the double layer dvds. I have a
set of Sony DVD+RDL that I have tried to back up a number of my movies.
I have only been successful with one out of 5 or 6. That was with 1-Click. I have tried Nero, Shrink and DVD Fab Decrypter and all have failed showing the movie, although they say burned successfully. On a couple of them, I have been able to capture the first part of the dvd, but not the movie. Outside of 1-Click, do I need to mark a DL section or do they read automatically. Your input is appreciated.

Thank you jgnasscar for replying. I have imagburn although I have not tried it as such. I will give it a shot. However, with the other ones, I am interested in how to make sure they work too.

The DVD+R DL media you're using is known to not be reliable. Try for better media, such as Verbatim DVD+R DL. More info on blank disc quality, and where to buy them, is at http://www.digitalfaq.com/reviews/dvd-media.htm

Make sure you use DVD Fab Decrypter to decrypt the DVD first then use imageburn to burn the movie!!! Imageburn will not burn copy protected DVD's!!! If that fails try DVD Fab platinum you have to buy it, but it's excellent in burning DVD+RDL!!!! peace
