I'm not able to connect. I was using Winmx fine until i hooked up for internet through my cable company for faster speed. what can i do?

I have had the same problem for almost a couple of weeks now.I have downloaded the older versions and the newer and it doesnt make a difference.I also have cable internet so I know it is not that.I have tried all the suggestions and none have worked for me.I am looking for another program that may work alot better cause I dont think this problem will be solved any time soon.
