hi there, just got my new intel i7 920 system with the gigabyte EX58 extreme mobo and corsair 1333 ram.

my system is water cooled and overclocked to 4.2ghz no bother and is very stable.

the ram i have is corsair 3gb triple channel ddr3 1333, why isnt my ram running at 1333mhz?

i have managed to get it to 800mhz looking at cpuz but why doesnt it run at 1333 like is says on each ram stick?

Gigabyte EX58 EXTREME > Intel i7 920 D0 2.66Ghz (OC 4.2ghz 50C Load) > Corsair Ram 3gb 1333 @ 667MHz(OC 1600 @ 800MHz 9,10,10,25) > All watercooled with XSPC + Dual res with pump > XFX GTX 280 > Corsair HX1000 > Antec 900 (all fans on full speed)

If it is running at 800mhz, it is already heavily overclocked. I say this because DDR3-1333 is only spec'd to run at 667mhz. You might want to read http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ddr3 or at least look at the chart on that page.
