i have burnt a few dozen dvds. All of them play perfect on my playstation3 but skip on a lot of other dvd player, Especially when something fast is happening. Like a abrupt change of scene or a action scene.Ive tried a few different dvd players new-old etc, a few new players dont skip but most of them do.
I am most often using a verbatim dvd, i use dvd flick to turn my avi files into a iso file and i use nero image burn to burn to dvd. I use a slow rate to, usually about 10x when the max is 18x according to the dvd? Ive tried slower speeds and everything like that but that doesn't help.
Ive been doing alot of searching through the net, focusing on dvd flick, i think it may have something to do with the bitrate as i convert my avi to an iso file. As i dont burn straight to dvd(store on external some times or othertimes sits on my desktop for a day or two).
i thought maybe because dvd flick doesnt have the disk to auto fit the bitrate?
If im right what should i set my bitrate to(using 4.7gb dvd-r)?
if not any idea's on how to burn my dvds without skipping?
It's simple to use - open the product and hit F1 for some basic help.
The main things are, hit the settings button and check each tab.
These are the program defaults.
Then hit the open file button (the green "+" sign) and load your
source. Then hit the icon under that one and check the
run time settings (you can over ride as necessary). There are various
things you can do here, such as select the 1-pass or 2-pass encoder,
change the audio output options, etc,etc.
