I've read posts here, and in other places,
read and tried to follow many different instructions
and I'm still not able to get connected with an Open Port.
I am running Vista
My ISP is Verizon
I am not using a Router (just 1 Home PC)
I'm using Norton Internet Security 2009, Ver. 16.5 (the latest upgrade)
Screen Shots:
My Modem is a Westell Model 6100F (F series - the newest model)
But - When I Logon to my IP address, this is what I get;
IP addy Main Window

Try with UPnP enabled at options>preferences>connection, disable again if no help. Enable Protocol Encryption: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/395674 The firewall in your Westell appear's off, set utorrent as an exception in Norton firewall or disable it when utorrent is open, check utorrent is a exception in Window's firewall if on, don't know if it conflict's with Norton if both on though, firewall's can conflict. (start>control panel>firewall>exception's). If that's a wireless connection, try connecting directly and try downloading at an off peak time in case Verizon is throttling.
Thank you for your reply - and thanks for the firewall tip.
However, I was advised to Uninstall the most current version of uTorrent and reinstall an older version.
So, I uninstalled it and reinstalled an older version "uTorrent 1.8.2 (build 14458)".
After I did this it worked perfectly...(with my Norton and all)
No explanation why the newer version wouldn't work...
Again, I thank everyone here for all of their help - and I hope this solution might benefit some others as well.
