What program do I need, to create menus etc for these type of dvd backups on blu-ray?

Is it better to use DL BD or single BD. Will DL BD always remain expensive like DL DVD do now?

Thanks

Go and buy a hard drive. It doesnt cost so much and it is better way to store large backups..

Well data on my computer usually starts to degrade after like 1.5 years. Programs stop working. I usually have to reinstall everything.

Is this not the same with this hard drive

"Well data on my computer usually starts to degrade after like 1.5 years. Programs stop working. I usually have to reinstall everything."

There are so many things wrong with the above statement that I don't know where to start.

I cannot say with 100% certainty, but it is HIGHLY UNLIKELY that your programs stop working have anything to do with data degradation on your hard drive.

Since you apparently have not troubleshot this problem other than to "reinstall everything" you really don't know what the problem is, do you?

Back to your original statement about data degradation, other than a hard drive failure, the data integrity should be "indefinite".

If what you said was even remotely true, every business in the world would be crippled every 1.5 years because they would have to "reinstall everything".

@Prutsos - TC said 1000GB which would Be 1TB.

Prutsos is right. I have HDD that I have had for over 5 yr that run with no problem.

I have multiple externals but I am also fortunate to have LTO-3 tape.

Thing that I want to watch over and over again (or kid's movies for my son) are stored on the ext.

Everything else goes to tape.
