OK, i did have a recovery program THAT WORKED WONDERS BUT I CANT FIND OR REMEMBER THE NAME, so my issue right now is a reinstall over top of vista home prem. but the wrong disk (an xp disk was put in (dont ask) and copied system files up to a certain point, and then requests for a disk , i dont want xp on the comp. I am willing at this point to fresh install OS with upgraded ver. of vista the thing i want/need to do is get a program that will let me explore and recover/copy my existing files on main hd c: drive (master) to an external/slave, like i said i did have program that i think would work in this situation but cant remember the name, it has to be a bootable cd, please do help !! have some files that need to be saved !
is that it isnt there a recovery software out there , im not skilled in "puppy"ing linux , what if i just put that hd in one of my other computers then run that hd as a slave drive then run a recovery software on it,
thanxxx , any other lists of good recovery bootable software would be great.
