there is one review that interests me, and am wondering if anyone knows anything about this, and if it's true or not.
this is the review:
"Cons: The board has a design flaw that CANNOT be resolved. After months and months dealing with NVidai, XFX, I was finally told to "buy the 790 series board..." keep in mind I paid $300.00 for this board which is what it listed for shortly after it's release. No matter WHAT kind of video card you put in (i'm currently running a 280 GT Over-clocker) you will NOT be able to set your graphics to ANYTHING BUT the lowest settings, or your PC will freeze. Trust me when I say there is NO adjusting voltage for this one, it is a design flaw that XFX FINALLY hinted to. DO NOT BUY!!!"
The problem is not necessarily XFX, but that it's an nforce. The 780i is a very poor chipset, and problems are frequent with ALL boards based on this design. The 790i is marginally better, but even so, you want an Intel chipset really. All the nvidia ones since the nF4 have been pretty poor.
