I know people have posted this a million times and I have read so many different forums, but I can not figure out what I am doing wrong. I have a slim ps2 version scph 90001 and I have the swap magic 3.8 discs. I have used the swap magic discs and they work, but I can not get it to work with burnt games. I have been using ImgBurn with Taiyo Yuden TYG02 DVD-Rs and burning at 4x speed. Is there something else that I am missing or something I have done wrong that would prevent the burnt games from playing? Any feedback would be much appreciated.

Try burning the backups faster , at 8x speed and see if that works.

Also make sure to select your own region after Selecting NORMAL

Hey buddy, you know you can check out my tutorials on my profile located here. I have made them specificaly for scph 90001 thats the exact model of PS2 I'm using. Depending on what your burning to and what your burning with It allvaries really. For instance I use Memorex DVD+r's not -R's I tried those and they dont work they have to be Memorex+R's to play in the PS2. I threw away about 23 DVD's getting it all worked out. Check out the tuts on my profile.

Memorex is the cheapeast DVD's that wal-mart offers here in my town. I have to burn all my PS2 games to Memorex DVD+R's at 8X in order for them to work and they turn out fine.

For PS1 Backups I burn them Memorex CD-R's at 1X and they turn out fine you can see that in the tutorials I have made for that. Also it shows ya how to do a quick mod for the SCPH 90001 PS2 slimline with a toothpick and sticky tak check it out.
