I've recently began burning dual layer DVDs with Nero and DVD Shrink, although I've had trouble accessing the menu screens to the copies of certain titles. I use DVD43 to remove the encryption to back up my DVDs, but I don't always need to. The menu screens either freeze when play is selected, stop, or not come up at all when it is time. If I turn off resume and press play, the main title will play, but none of the other features are accessible, obviously. I've tried different programs to burn and decrypt (or not), but I get the same result. I've had this problem mostly with titles that have been released over the last couple years, though DVD43 is supposed to have the most up-to-date capabilities. Anyone else have this problem?
I have not had that issue but I use DVDfab HD decrypter and I the other two softwares mentioned. Never have had a problem and it is kept up to date http://www.dvdfab.com/free.htm FaB rips it to your hd removes all the uneeded stuff and folder is ready to be shrunk and burned. I have used this software on both regular dvd's and dual layer.
The most reliable program for burning DL discs is ImgBurn.
The most reliable DL discs to use are Verbatim DVD+R DL 2.4x (MKM-001-00 dye) made in Singapore.
