Ok, i want swap magic to play my backup games that I burn to a blank DVD-R, because i hate how alot of my games are scratched. I want to buy swap magic, the newest/best one, and I want the NTSC version of it. I don't know where to buy it, I see like 100 sites, and I don't know which to trust, where should I buy it from? By the way, I wanted to order it tomorrow asap, thank you for reading.
Ignore my first question, I already bought it from a website called modchipcity.com, I am waiting until it arrives in the mail, and thank you about the PS1 thing, I have a fat ps2, SCPH-50001
The only way to know the difference of V9 to V10 is the motherboard.
V9 - Main board will be GH 023
V10 - main mother board will be coded GH 026
But anyway on V9 and up you can use psxlauncher.elf to play backups, or you can just uLaunch.elf
Using uLe
launch Ule
set "disc control ON" in the settings
let uLaunchElf STOP the your triggerdisc in the drive
use a slide tool for swapping your triggerdisc for the backup
go to "filebrowser=>MISC=>PS2Browser"
You'll be redirected to the standard PS2 browser in which you'll see the "PSx cd" icon.
Select it, play your backup!
Using psxlauncher.elf you just basically launch the ELF file and follow the onscreen prompts.
Now using Swap Magic you can install fmcb 1.8 if you want so that you can just load ELF (ps2 applications) from the Sony Browser, and after that you can still use your Swap Magic if you wish, but you don't need too.
Just do a search on fmcb if your interested in that route.
Otherwise using Swap Magic, you can load ELF files from a USB drive.
