God of War 1 won't let me save

I've had this game for a year or so now and before it worked fine. I have a 64 mb memory card and i deleted everything off of it specifically so i can play this game. My PS2 has let me save other games but not God of War. When i get to the save areas it tells me i have insufficient space, So i wait until it says Create new data? and then i go to yes and it tells me there's an error.

What can i do to fix this problem?

Could be your 64mb card is corrupted.

Is it a Datel 64mb? How did you format it?

Mine saved fine on 32mb cards and Datel 64mb

I believe mine's an i-con.
I don't know but why would it act up with only that game?

I see there is no troubleshooting section on that memory card at their site.

Sorry I don't really know except that its 3rd party and perhaps some games will not recognize the memory card

You may have to use a Sony 8mb or Datel memory card for that game.
