Does anyone know if it's possible to use a firmware upgrade to "wipe out" a Vonage Linksys router and use it as a wired router in my house to connect my laptop to my desktop to run off the same cable line?
I know they come with the Vonage settings in them, but i paid for it and i no longer use it so I don't see why I shouldn't be able to use it as i need it, which I need it now to network my two PCs together so I can use both in the house. I don't have wireless, so this is the next best thing. I'm sick and have to be in bed a lot and it would be nice if I could use my laptop while I'm in bed.
Thanks so much for any help!
