Wireless Internet connection problem on the nokia 5800

Hi. I've got a problem connecting my nokia 5800 to my wireless modem. A few days ago, I had to do a soft reset because of a problem i was having. Since then, it wasn't connecting to the internet properly. It says "search for WLAN" but when I click it, sometimes the phone just restarts. Also, if there is a "known" connection, and I click it, some error just comes up but the wireless connected icon on the top right side of the screen stays there unless i restart the phone. Could someone PLEASE help me out?
