Hi,

I ripped couple of blurays using blurayripper and using CPS keys from forums, I was able to rip the filed on to hdd and when I try to play the .M2ts files in powerdvd. They wouldn't play so I converted the bdmv & certificate folders into an ISO image and mounted on the virtual drive & tried to playback but it wouldn't play anything it's just blank no error or anything, any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks,

Anand

There's a certain version of power dvd 7 that will play in "File Mode" and since then PWDVD will only play the disc itself or a mounted ISO.
Assuming the rip is ok, it sounds like it might just be down to the writing of the ISO file.
Have you tried using Imgburn and when choosing the "build" mode, select the root Folder that contains all the movie files.
It will ask you if this is the root folder to make sure what is included in the iso.
I have got this bit wrong in the past and like you said, you get a blank black screen. Nothing else.

Thanks for the reply, well I tried ripping using anydvd hd and I am able to play the .mt2s files on my pwrdvd but it's choppy though( I need to figure this one) when I ripped using blurayripper the .mt2s files wouldn't play it's just blank so I guess the rip didn't work fine.

I am wondering why my anydvd hd rips are choppy now

there are a few reasons for choopy playback.
Most common is lack of processing power and graphics power for HD video and related system resources..
Are you on a dual core processor and a decent Graphics card + at least 1 gig of system ram?
Or maybe codecs, but i guess since your on power DVD then i find their H.264 codes fine.

WELL it depends on different factors
whats the format of the movie(h264/mpeg2/vc-1!!!!!!)
Iam thinking its vc-1 u need codecs package to play the vc-1 on pdvd
another reason ur pdvd ...
whats the version on the pdvd ?
u might need to update it

another way to rip is start scratch from the beginging if u r using the ripped files and rip again with anydvdhd it doesn't make the difference?
iam thinking that u didn't?

if u have daemontool installed u need to unistall it
