I have recently just puchased another one of these boxes, (I currently have 1 of my own and 1 for my mother) for a friend of mine who seen mine and wanted one. I got him all the latest software and went to set it up for him. I know how to install everything through setting up mine and my mothers but just couldnt get a channel. Not one station was found at all. Tried installing it time and time again but still found nothing. Have the same bin file that works on my box and my mothers and still finding nothing. We arent even geting the freeview channels, We are scanning through ntl anyone out there help at all? By the way im from belfast northern ireland and the codes and fixes would be the same as any ntl

go to installation and do a scan on what ever provider you are with
what version of firmware do you have on your box
menu System Info >>> API version ??
also make sure you are not using any splitters on your incoming cable and scan from main point in house

the latest firmware im using is 1.07 cant understand why its not picking anything up at all, not even the free channels. If i took this box to my house and installed it through my feed do u think that would work when we plug it back into his feed?

I had that problem at the begining, it was my booster that had blown, the black power pack u plug in to the wall. Try using another(your own) just to see will it pick up the channels.

thanks everyone for the help, i got it sorted in the end well sort of. i contacted the people were i got it from and he reckons there is a fault in the box itself. something to do with the tubing or something they explained. Thanks to everyone who helped along the way.
