Ok so i got this laptop from one of my buddies that he bought from one of his buddies, he brought it to me to clean up and everything originally the system already had what i made out to be maybe a software problem it took way to long to boot and when its about to show the log on screen in blue screens and crashes, so i started a clean install of windows vista home premium, the installation went fine without a hitch except while i was working in windows i noticed the system slowly started to like bog down like it dose after a few mnths of messing with it without cleaning it up from time to time. eventually i restarted it its been trying to start for the last 20 min it only shows the windows loading bar and thats it, i restarted a few times even restarted the bios. not really sure what the problem is any help would be greatly appreaciated

need more ram as vista is a memory hog. remove the ram from their slots on the bottomside of the laptop, use a pencil eraser on the ram's gold contacts & re-install back into laptop. try 1 ram at a time to see if windows loads or not & expect it to be slow using a 512meg stick.
