LG GH22XNS30 DVD Burner won't recognize blank DVD+Rs

I bought a new LG GH22X DVD Burner last week and when I installed it, it wouldn't read DVD+R's. It reads and plays DVDs as well as both CD-Rs and CD+RWs. When I try to burn a DVD with Nero, it doesn't even show the drive as being active, but if I use the standard windows write to cd I can burn CD's. I've tried updating the firmware, uninstalling the drive and rebooting, and checked all my connections. I installed the drive into another computer and it works fine. Any ideas??

Is this an OEM version of Nero?

Try using ImgBurn and see if it shows up as a DVD drive.

Well I ended up using GMER and found some files that were jacked up...but they're gone now and everything works. Thanks for the help.

I have same issue
download GMER
run GMER

GMER has found system modification
which mighr have been caused by ROOTKIT activity
Do you want to fully scan your system?

I did it and now what I supposed to do?
