I just installed an xecuter 3 CE in my v1.4 xbox. I also flashed the chip with the most recent version of the x3 bios. Everything went great.
Then, I ftp'd to my xbox. I am able to copy files FROM my xbox to my pc, but I cannot copy files from my pc TO my xbox.
I am using a crossover connection and cuteftp 8.0 professional to ftp. I have set static ip addresses on both my pc and my xbox (i am not a newb to networking in general, so i know how to do this for the most part).
However, I must be doing something wrong, because I cannot put new files onto my xbox! Every time I try to paste or move a file to my xbox, such as a rom or emulator, cuteftp gives me a message like:
"The remote folder already contains a folder named ...." With the dots being the name of the file I am trying to copy. Notice I said FILE and not FOLDER -- cuteftp's behavior is very strange in this aspect.
In the same message, it asks me if I want to overwrite or confirm the replacement of the folder with the options of "Yes", "Yes to All", "No", or "Cancel".
No matter what I choose, (unless I choose "no" or "cancel"), it always returns an error saying that either the file or filepath does not exist, or that I do not have the correct permissions to carry out that action.
Am I missing something here? Strangely enough, I also seem to be able to delete files from my xbox... So if I can copy files from my xbox, and delete files from my xbox, why then can I not move and paste files TO my xbox? If someone could shed some light on this for me it would be MOST appreciated, because I am pretty much at a standstill with all things modding until I can actually put files on my xbox.
