My girlfriend was playing a app on facebook when a popup to install WinPc Antivirus popped up and she hit Enter on accident. Now when ever we use IE and click a link it takes us to some stupid sites. Tried installing MalwareBytes, installed but will not run. Tried installinf a couple of other antivirus spyware removers and the same. Any help getting rid of this stupid thing would be AWESOME. Thanks

have you tried system restore to before the enter button?

malwarebytes usually doesn't work unless you change the name of the ___.exe file in the "program files" folder. It doesn't matter what you change it to just so its different than what it was. Try that program, spybot sd, and adaware.

Did that and it will not let me roll back. tells me that there is no previous states to restore to. I know that there are, but says that there isn't.

look in msconfig/startup & disable it. do the restart of the computer then download spybot s&d, update it, immunize it twice & run it.
