This seems to me like a question with an easy answer. I did a few hours of searching before deciding to post this.

I am trying to copy .elf files from my usb drive to the memory card using action replay max. In the numerous tutorials and guides i have been following the usb device is identified and they are easily able to copy over the file.

When i load AR Max all the PS2 sees is the memory card but not any usb devices. Any thoughts or recommendations to solve this? Thanks

I'm not sure, but maybe i need a more recent version of action replay. I however don't know how to identify what version i have now though.

Your usb may not be compatible, and did you make sure to have the usb connected before starting armax.

I think the version of armax that i had wasn't capable of connecting a usb. I went and picked up the newer version that specifically said usb on the box and it works fine.

thanks

Yeah there are versions of Armax that don't have usb support.

To check the version of your Action Replay Max, look on the underside of the disc, you will see a dark blue ring towards the center; this is where you will find the version number.
